Progress File
The RAPID
Progress File (http://rapid.lboro.ac.uk)
is a web-based Personal Development Planning (PDP)
tool. RAPID enables the registered user to:

date, in the region of 8000 students across a range
of HEIs have begun to use the RAPID Progress File in
a variety of contexts.

There
are currently 15 versions of RAPID. These include:

A generic version of RAPID (RAPID
Express) that is offered to all academic departments
across the University (Loughborough) to help support
PDP.

An Engineering version of RAPID
(RAPID Engineering) based on the Engineering Council
UK's UK-SPEC.

A version appropriate for post
graduate researchers (RAPID PGR) developed as part
of a joint enterprise involving the Universities
of Loughborough and Birmingham.

12 discipline specific versions
(including Civil Engineering, Information Sciences,
and Mathematics).

RAPID software is available at no direct charge to all
UK-based HEIs under a licensing arrangement.
